Weโre seeking a talented PHP developer to join a small team responsible for leading on the maintenance and improvement of our SaaS product. If youโre keen to take responsibility for new and existing features, contribute ideas to technical decisions, and play a role in defining the overall standard of technology at the company, then we may be the team for you!
Our product is used by some of the worldโs largest corporations to help manage their charitable giving programmes. Itโs fully customisable, and is used to facilitate the activities of thousands of employees around the world in different time zones, languages, and currencies. This means that as a developer at GivingForce, thereโs never a shortage of exciting technical challenges to sink your teeth into.ย
Why you should join the team:ย
A philosophy of working when, where and how best suits you - flexible hours with full remote working from anywhere in the world between GMT to GMT+6 (or willingness to work within that timezone when necessary).
Open-minded and collaborative colleagues, with a small team structure and leadership keen to explore new ideas and approaches.ย
A culture of responsibility and ownership, where youโll be trusted to put forward and lead on new ideas and initiatives.ย ย
A focus on work-life balance, with 38 days a year holiday (bank/national holidays inclusive).ย
Our tech stack:
Our core product is built on the LAMP platform, and uses the Zend framework. We currently use Bootstrap and a lot of jQuery on the front end, but are in the process of transitioning some parts of the product to React. We also use Node.js / GraphQL for some features / projects.ย
What we need from you:
Confidence in speaking English, with strong communication skills and the ability to discuss and understand complicated technical issues.ย
Open-mindedness, flexibility, and the confidence to ask questions and contribute ideas.
High standards in all aspects of your work, with an interest in best practices and the desire to always produce the best possible results.ย
Experience working in a product company, rather than only in development agencies.ย
A proven record of designing and developing complex systems for the web in a professional environment using PHP and Zend or another similar framework.ย
Good experience with and knowledge of relational databases.
Experience using jQuery, other core web technologies, and REST APIs.
Other perks:ย

๐ Please reference you found the job on Remote OK, this helps us get more companies to post here, thanks!
When applying for jobs, you should NEVER have to pay to apply. You should also NEVER have to pay to buy equipment which they then pay you back for later. Also never pay for trainings you have to do. Those are scams! NEVER PAY FOR ANYTHING! Posts that link to pages with "how to work online" are also scams. Don't use them or pay for them. Also always verify you're actually talking to the company in the job post and not an imposter. A good idea is to check the domain name for the site/email and see if it's the actual company's main domain name. Scams in remote work are rampant, be careful! Read more to avoid scams. When clicking on the button to apply above, you will leave Remote OK and go to the job application page for that company outside this site. Remote OK accepts no liability or responsibility as a consequence of any reliance upon information on there (external sites) or here.
